Tiffany Defibaugh

My work is a reflection of the natural world—its landscapes, organic forms, and subtle shifts in color. I draw inspiration from the textures, patterns, and palettes found in nature, translating them into functional ceramic pieces that are meant to be touched, used, and lived with.

Working primarily on the potter’s wheel, I hand throw each piece with attention to shape and balance. I focus on creating functional forms such as vases, plates, and lidded jars—objects that invite everyday use while quietly echoing the environment that inspires them.

Through clay, I seek to capture the grounding presence of a mountain ridge, the soft curve of a riverbank, or the warmth of sunlit earth. My goal is to bring a sense of calm and connection to the spaces my work inhabits.
