Kristine Cravens is a ceramic artist whose background training is fashion design. She was trained in Fashion Merchandising focusing on clothing construction and pattern making. The move from fabric to clay construction was an easy transition for her. She often creates her work from patterns using geometric forms and shapes from slab rolled clay. She enjoys making art that you can use in everyday life. Food should be a celebration and great serving pieces should be a part of that. Most of her work is highly decorated, designs you might imagine on fabric.
