Meet Mike Taylor of Pottworks Studio and owner of West Michigan Clay!
Mike has been learning from clay for 41 years. With a focus in woodfired ceramics, he creates conversations with his dynamic brush strokes on traditional forms that render Michigan native plant life and topography.
Mike writes his “summer musings” below:
“It was a long hot summer. We hosted Nathan Goddard for a three day workshop back in May and fired Seraphina in conjunction with the Michigan Mud Conference.
In June, we gathered to have another group firing.
In August, we just completed another woodfiring and the results were stunning.
