Hi! I’m Jenn Hershberger, creator of Pine House Pottery and a resident potter at Oak Grove Pottery in Howell, Michigan. My journey with pottery began in high school, when a single class sparked a vocational calling that led me to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from Biola University and a Master of Arts in Theology and Art Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary.
My work is deeply influenced by my Christian faith and the natural beauty of Michigan’s lakes, woodlands, and trails. The textures, muted colors, and calming patterns of the landscape inspire pieces that invite contemplation of nature, grace, and the interconnectedness reflected in the Trinity. Whether you’re sipping from a coffee mug or serving from a salad bowl, I hope my pottery brings beauty and meaning to everyday moments. Alongside pottery, I’m passionate about integrating visual arts into ministry and community. As cofounder and communications director for Tov Arts Collective in Livingston County, I collaborate with churches and organizations to reimagine creative media and storytelling as tools for spiritual engagement.
