Adam Stuart

I throw on the wheel for most of my work, but I like to create sculptures from thrown forms as well. I explore the intricacies of form and color with the use of various glaze applications and firing methods such as raku or  high fire reduction. Influences from urban decay, the balance between civilization and nature, or even music and food all shape my creation process. My pottery is mostly traditional in style, unlike my sculptures, which embrace modern ideals of concept and aesthetics.
